Shake, Rattle and Roll…

A little past three today as I sat working at my desk, the windows began to rattle and there was an unusually loud noise outside the office. I walked to the front door to see what kind of large truck could make that much noise but there was nothing there. Then, I looked out the side door and still nothing. Finally out back and still not a thing.

Then, true to St. John form the “coconut telegraph” was activated. Earthquake was the island-wide consensus and according to several Coral Bay residents, the effects of the tremor were most strongly felt on the east side of the island.

I’ll be curious to hear the details about this one since the quake seemed to last a very long time.
